Job Description
The Search Marketing Analyst position is responsible for supporting the planning, execution and analysis of search marketing campaigns for various clients.
Responsibilities:
- Work as part of an SEM team servicing several clients spanning multiple industries
- Research, plan, manage and execute Paid Search / Pay Per Click (PPC) campaigns, including but not limited to account setup, research, strategy development, organization, optimization, management and reporting
- Responsible for ongoing optimization efforts to meet campaign objectives, including daily management of campaign budgets, on-site conversion actions, daily bid management, geo-targeting usage, ad extension usage, negative keyword strategies, keyword research, ad creative development and optimization, and landing page recommendations based on performance history and the client’s objectives
- Daily use of reporting, analytics, and trend tools, including but not limited to Google Analytics & DoubleClick/Dart Search
- Audit both assigned client accounts and as well as assist other accounts as needed
- Assist in SEO activities to ensure a cohesive search strategy is employed and analyzed
- Forecast & plan paid search growth, and regularly communicating opportunity with the client
Desired Skills and Experience:
- 1-3+ years of Paid Search experience in professional setting, ideally in a digital agency setting or with the client side
- Understanding of Paid Search landscape, preferably with experience servicing Accounts with a Google AdWords program in place
- Demonstrated strong performance in prior roles, with increasing levels of responsibilities, excellent project management skills and strong ability to present to others
- Must be able to draw critical analysis from data and make specific recommendations – i.e. adapted to change strategies and recommendations based on data sets. Must be comfortable with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint in order to convey this analysis and make recommendations.
- Comfortable contributing to company’s thought leadership on PPC industry topics
- Understanding of basic organic search fundamentals a plus
- An understanding of other areas of performance marketing, such as Display Media, Affiliate Marketing, Feeds, Mobile, Social Media and influence on Paid Search Activities, is preferred but not required
- Experience with Paid Search Platforms like DoubleClick/Dart Search as well as Google Analytics a plus but not required
